Onsite Camping

Frankenmuth city ordinances prohibit overnight camping except in commercial campgrounds. However, the City of Frankenmuth has waived its “no overnight camping” rule for our 2023 Specialty, and will permit a maximum of 20 self-contained RVs (motorhomes and camping trailers only; no tents or pop-ups) to camp onsite in a designated area.

The designated area is conveniently located behind the Kern Pavilion. There will be no electric hookups, but a water source and dump station are available nearby. Camping spaces must be reserved for up to 3 days (Tuesday October 10 arrival–Friday October 13 departure) at a cost of $150 for the 3 days. You may opt to stay fewer nights, but you can’t stay any longer than 3 nights.

NOTE: The city set the prices; we didn’t.

In the event the designated camping area becomes unusable due to weather conditions, the camping fee will be refunded. In that case, RVs must move to a commercial campground, as the City of Frankenmuth will not permit camping in any other area of the show grounds or at the hotel.

Reservations will be accepted beginning June 10, 2023. Deadline: August 10, 2023.
