Veteran Sweeps

We have an amazing evening planned for Veteran Sweepstakes on Wednesday, October 11th.

The BCCA Charitable Trust will kick off the evening with Linda Taylor and Don Means sharing their mission, the history of the Trust’s contributions to health research, and their future goals.

Following their presentation, Judge Diane Newman will judge our beautiful veterans. A special gift has been donated by Sonja Blanchard and Eric Weglarz, to be presented at the completion of judging, to the Breeder of the Best Veteran in Sweepstakes.

The BCCA Charitable Trust will be sponsoring the evening with served hors d’oeuvres in appreciation of our veterans and the many BCCA members who have contributed to the Trust over the years.

We are lucky enough to have a special guest, Lydia McPeek, from the Morris Animal Foundation at the Veterans’ Special Event. Lydia will briefly explain the Foundation’s research pertaining to hemangiosarcoma, as well as their collaboration with the BCCA Charitable Trust. This will be followed by a podcast in the near future about their research and findings. So the Health Seminar is taking a new twist!

We want this to be a very special evening to honor these dogs who have given us so much. So, gentlemen — bring your tuxes to show off (if you have them) and ladies — it’s a chance to sparkle with your dogs! You are welcome to BYOB.
